Regional Merchandise Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Cultivates effective partnerships aimed at advancing business objectives, including but not limited to: Saks Global stores, Buyers, and Planners with an emphasis on: High volume and/or high potential strategic merchandise opportunities.

• Gathers high-level merchandise insights from store visits, validates recommendations with data, and formulates action plans (e.g., category expansion, floor productivity, brand matrix adjustments).

• Discovers merchandise category opportunities in key markets by leveraging: ○ Emerging customer, market, and competitive trends ○ Knowledge of the division, group, and/or specific vendors.

• Provides Saks Global stores and executives with tailored reporting and presentations, including but not limited to: Seasonal launches, category initiatives, and store relayer proposals.

• Aids in the preparation of weekly business reviews for stores in partnership with the SVP, Accelerated Store Growth.

• Ensures stakeholders are held accountable for executing action plans and achieving results. Communicates outcomes to relevant leadership in a timely manner.

• Takes on ad hoc responsibilities as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• A college degree is preferred.

• At least 5 years of experience in retail merchandising and planning is required.

• Previous store-line management experience is preferred.

• Strong business and financial analysis skills, with a proven expertise in retail mathematics.

• A demonstrated ability to identify and tackle challenges, develop recommendations, and implement strategic action plans.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the capacity to influence stakeholders in a direction that meets objectives.

• Ability to foster strong relationships across all organizational levels, coupled with the confidence to engage with senior leadership.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite is required.
