This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.
• Adapt, customize, and implement core global marketing initiatives in Japan to achieve or surpass district business goals.
• Convert global strategic objectives into practical regional action plans; choose suitable program tactics and oversee all outbound aspects of new product introductions.
• Oversee the content reuse and localization process, ensuring that all regional marketing is in line with the central company messaging themes.
• Work alongside regional MarCom members to establish event and digital strategies that stimulate demand, nurture leads, and broaden the marketing funnel.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Japan's regional channels and the global marketing team, providing regional market intelligence and customer insights.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of key accounts, KOLs, and centers of excellence in Japan; inform global marketing about local regulatory and compliance standards.
• Share program resources across the APAC region and identify opportunities to adapt global and regional initiatives for the Japan market.
• Collaborate closely with both regional and global marketing teams to create program metrics, effective tactics, and cohesive regional messaging.
• Develop effective sales tools and training materials to assist regional sales teams and distributors in reaching their objectives.
• Provide new product training to the sales team and coordinate all cross-functional preparations for successful regional product launches.
• Partner closely with district sales teams to enhance the size and quality of marketing leads in Salesforce CRM and ensure achievement of pipeline goals across the district.
• Assess and analyze the effectiveness of marketing programs, monitor assigned expenditures, and establish local/regional operational processes and systems.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field is required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing or Spatial Biology markets, products, and marketing channels in Japan.
• Several years of experience in the Life Science industry, preferably within a regional marketing setting.
• Essential marketing competencies include customer segmentation (such as needs assessments, profiles, personas, buying journeys), marketing program development and execution, and program evaluation (metric framework).
• Understanding of the sales pipeline and how to positively influence funnel conversion rates.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, paired with strong business judgment and the capability to present analysis clearly and persuasively.
• A self-motivated individual who operates with a high level of independence, can quickly adapt, and effectively manage ambiguity.
• Highly organized with the ability to meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment while collaborating across multiple disciplines.
• Proven communication excellence, with outstanding Japanese and English communication skills (written, oral, and presentation) to effectively engage with both local stakeholders and global teams.
• Travel is required, with expectations of up to 50% of the time.
