• Oversee and manage a sales team consisting of 10-25 representatives while enhancing market share, volume, and dealer loyalty.
• Mentor, lead, and nurture the development of Area Managers.
• Responsible for supervising individuals in outside sales within the designated region.
• Assist in the recruitment and training of new area managers.
• Present and promote company products and services to existing and prospective clients.
• Create action plans and schedules to pinpoint specific targets and forecast the number of contacts to be made.
• Identify sales prospects and reach out to these and other assigned accounts.
• Develop and sustain sales materials while maintaining up-to-date product knowledge.
• Establish and nurture relationships with current and potential clients.
• Oversee Area Managers through quality assessments and additional follow-ups.
• Identify and address client concerns effectively.
• Compile a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
• Relay new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered from field activities to the appropriate company personnel.
• Formulate and execute special sales initiatives aimed at reducing dealer attrition.
• Engage in marketing activities such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events.
• Travel is required throughout the assigned territory.
• Must be comfortable traveling up to 75% of the time to visit Auto Dealers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A minimum of 5 years in sales management.
• High energy levels and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and various sales software applications.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or a closely related discipline.
• Qualified candidates should reside within the region.
• Strong computer skills are essential, particularly in MS Office (Excel and Word).
