Regional Major Gifts Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Accountable for generating funds through significant donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations within a specified geographical area of a Salvation Army Division.

• Secure financial support to further the Mission of The Salvation Army by proactively cultivating and maintaining relationships with current and prospective donors, including individuals, foundations, and corporations.

• Address inquiries and maintain communication with donors, members of advisory organizations, and personnel from The Salvation Army.

• Tasked with the creation, modification, and execution of a giving strategy for each donor within their portfolio to achieve an annual fundraising target.

• Frequent travel throughout the assigned regions of Western North and South Carolina is required.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree (preferred but not mandatory) from an accredited institution (ideally in a relevant field of study).

• A minimum of three years of experience in related fundraising, marketing, and/or sales roles (experience in major gift fundraising is preferred).

• Any equivalent combination of education and experience that equips the candidate with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.

• Proficiency in researching, soliciting, and securing funds from individual, corporate, and foundation sources.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• Experience in building relationships with the specific goal of achieving a defined action outcome.

• Capability to maintain precise and current donor records using systems like Salesforce, DonorPerfect, or any CRM.
