This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Accountable for securing funds through significant gifts sourced from individuals, corporations, and foundations within a specified geographical area of a Salvation Army Division.
• Generate financial support to further the Mission of The Salvation Army by proactively cultivating and managing relationships with existing and potential donors, including individuals, foundations, and corporations.
• Address inquiries and maintain communication with donors, members of advisory organizations, Salvation Army staff, and Officers.
• Tasked with creating, updating, and executing a giving strategy for each donor in their portfolio to achieve an annual fundraising target.
• Frequently travels to engage with donors across the designated regions of Louisville, Frankfort, Richmond, Elizabethtown, Ashland, and Danville.
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (preferably in a relevant field).
• A minimum of three years of experience in fundraising, marketing, and/or sales (with a preference for major gift fundraising experience).
• Proficiency in researching, soliciting, and securing funds from individual, corporate, and foundation sources.
• Exceptional communication abilities.
• Experience in building relationships aimed at achieving specific action-oriented outcomes.
• Capability to maintain accurate and current donor records (using Salesforce, DonorPerfect, or any CRM system).
• License/Certifications: Valid State Driver’s License required.
• CFRE or ACFRE certification is preferred.
• Bona-fide Occupational Qualification (BFOQ): This role necessitates an active Christian faith consistent with Salvation Army beliefs and practices.
