This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Investigate claims related to personal, casualty, or property loss or damages against insurance or other companies.
• Strive to achieve out-of-court settlements with claimants.
• Manage complex losses independently up to the designated authority level.
• Provide assistance on larger losses, including those based on accounting such as business interruption and inventory.
• Review claim forms and associated documents to assess insurance coverage.
• Conduct interviews, phone calls, or correspondences with claimants and witnesses.
• Consult police and hospital records as necessary.
• Inspect property damage to evaluate the extent of company liability.
• Estimate costs for repairs, replacements, or compensation.
• Compile findings reports and negotiate settlements with claimants.
• Advise the legal department on litigation when negotiations for settlement fail.
• Attend litigation hearings as required.
• Update case reserves in assigned claims files to reflect anticipated costs.
• Assist in the creation of loss experience reports to aid in assessing profitability and calculating future rates accurately.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Support the organization's quality initiatives.
• Travel as necessary.
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Must possess the IIA-AIC designation and actively pursue another professional insurance certification.
• A valid state adjuster license is mandatory.
• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including proficiency in presentation.
• Proficient in PC use, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated dedication to timely reporting.

• Good time management and organizational capabilities.

• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, and reach overhead.
• Capability to lift/carry weights up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push/pull loads up to 100 pounds.
• Capable of driving for up to 4 hours daily.
