This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +3 more states.
• Travel to client locations to assist with the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of municipal water treatment equipment and systems.
• Engage with a range of sophisticated mechanical, electrical, and control systems, necessitating a robust technical background, customer-oriented communication, and the capacity to operate independently in the field.
• Collaborate effectively with customers, project teams, and internal support units to ensure the delivery of safe and successful project results.
• The typical work week involves travel on Mondays and Fridays, with field service activities conducted from Tuesday to Thursday at customer sites across the U.S. and Canada.
• Proven experience in servicing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems within industrial or municipal settings.
• Familiarity with low- and medium-voltage power distribution equipment, variable frequency drives (VFDs), conduits, grounding, and three-phase electrical systems.
• Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, network troubleshooting, and control systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting Process & Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs), electrical schematics, and system layouts.
• Experience with instrumentation, including flow meters, pressure transmitters, level transmitters, and temperature sensors.
• Strong skills in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to conduct equipment startup, commissioning, functional testing, and preventative maintenance.
• Comfortable leading customer training sessions and conveying technical information effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capacity to work independently while balancing multiple customer locations and priorities.
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance with Environmental, Safety & Health (ESH) policies.
• Green Belt Certification is preferred (or a willingness to obtain it).
• Experience with ServiceMax is advantageous.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to acquire and maintain a valid passport for travel within the U.S. and Canada.
