This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.
• Program Implementation: Execute and support regional safety initiatives, standards, and programs to ensure their consistent application across designated dealerships and service centers.
• Leadership Development: Offer guidance to local leaders and Team Members to enhance safe work practices, hazard identification, accountability, and Camping World’s “True North” safety culture.
• Operational Consistency: Work alongside regional and location leadership to synchronize safety expectations with operational priorities and daily business activities.
• Field Assessment: Perform field visits, workplace observations, safety inspections, and follow-up on corrective actions to confirm compliance and foster continuous improvement.
• Compliance Assurance: Aid in maintaining adherence to OSHA, EPA, DOT, fire code, and company safety standards across service, retail, parts, delivery, and lot operations.
• High-Risk Safety Measures: Emphasize necessary safety protocols for RV roof work, fall protection, forklift operations, lockout/tagout procedures, battery charging, chemical handling, and hot work activities.
• Incident Response: Assist in prompt incident management, investigation, root cause analysis, corrective action formulation, and communication of pertinent trends.
• Claims and Recovery Coordination: Collaborate with Human Resources, Risk Management, claims partners, and operations leaders to facilitate workers’ compensation follow-up, return-to-work arrangements, and injury prevention efforts.
• Training and Onboarding: Provide and reinforce safety training for field leaders and Team Members, including support for new acquisitions, new leaders, and locations needing additional safety assistance.
• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Science, Risk Management, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent experience may also be considered.
• Professional Experience: At least five years of progressively responsible safety experience, encompassing multi-site field support, inspections, incident investigations, corrective action management, and safety coaching.
• Industry Experience: Background in RV, automotive, equipment rental, construction, industrial, logistics, or other multi-site field operational environments is preferred.
• Safety Certification: ASP, CSP, CHST, OHST, or other relevant safety certifications are preferred.
• Communication Skills: Proven ability to foster relationships, coach effectively, and influence field and operations leadership in alignment with safety goals.
• Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel up to 50% by vehicle and commercial flight, including short notice travel for serious incidents and field support needs.
