
Regional Field Measure and Sales Support Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Travel across the Northeast to various commercial job sites to conduct field measurements.
• Measure existing HVAC systems, roof curbs, structural conditions, and relevant dimensions.
• Document detailed measurements, photographs, notes, and other relevant information.
• Identify any unusual or potentially concerning field conditions and relay this information to the appropriate CDI team.
• Prepare accurate field measurement reports and ensure timely submission.
• Maintain professional communication with contractors, roofing specialists, mechanical contractors, building owners, and other job-site contacts.
• Foster customer and contractor relationships while professionally representing CDI.
• Collaborate with customers to schedule field measurements and verify job-site requirements.
• Adhere to CDI and job-site safety protocols, including rooftop and ladder safety.
• Provide field insights to Sales, Engineering, Production, and Leadership teams.
• Support the Northeast Regional Sales team with customer and project-related needs.
• Address customer inquiries via phone and email effectively.
• Prepare and manage quotes and assist with order entries.
• Organize customer information, measurements, drawings, and project documentation.
• Monitor projects from the initial quote through to production and shipping.
• Coordinate field measurement schedules and keep all parties updated.
• Review field measurement data for completeness and precision.
• Collaborate with Engineering to clarify measurement or project-related questions.
• Work alongside Production and Shipping to ensure projects remain on schedule.
• Follow up on outstanding quotes, orders, measurements, and customer requests.
• Maintain precise customer and project information within CDI systems.
• Assist with CRM, ERP, reporting, and other sales support tasks.
• Proactively communicate project statuses, delays, changes, and potential issues.
• Help address customer concerns and find practical solutions.
• Provide backup assistance to the Northeast sales team.
• Manage an assigned Northeast territory and travel schedule efficiently.
• Plan effective travel routes and schedules.
• Occasionally attend customer meetings, trade shows, training sessions, and team gatherings.
• Keep accurate records of mileage, travel, and expenses.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC, commercial roofing, construction, sheet metal, field measuring, sales support, project coordination, or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in the HVAC industry is strongly desired.
• Ability to read and comprehend measurements, dimensions, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy are essential.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are required.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills are necessary.
• Capability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Comfortable working independently within a remote setting.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of follow-through and accountability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, tablets, smartphones, and online communication platforms.
• Experience with CRM, ERP, quoting, or order-entry systems is advantageous.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the Northeast.
• Comfortable working on commercial rooftops and at elevated heights.
• Ability to safely climb ladders and navigate commercial job sites.
• Capability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Willingness to learn about CDI products, measurement standards, systems, and processes.
