This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Review current tools and resources to assess their suitability based on the regional culture and context, providing recommendations for enhancements to existing tools or the development of new ones.
• Reach out to schools, businesses, and organizations to promote CRPC presentations and the CCH initiative.
• Establish partnerships with these entities to position CRPC as Canada’s premier provider of peer-to-peer education.
• Support the promotion and recruitment of participants for Leadership Corps Trainings.
• Facilitate connections between the Regional Organizers of the CCH program and Lead Mentors of the Leadership Corps program to encourage improved collaboration between these initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with the Youth Engagement Coordinator to arrange CRPC presentations at post-secondary campuses, aimed at expanding and strengthening the Campus Corps program.
• Enhance citizen involvement in the data collection process for the National Climate League, an annual participatory democracy initiative that culminates in a Standings Report evaluating cities’ performances across 30 quality of life indicators.
• Work in partnership with the Community Engagement and Program Development Manager to execute existing programs, tailor them to better fit the regional context, and create new initiatives to promote deeper engagement in the area.
• Provide recommendations to enhance the recruitment, engagement, and retention of CRLs.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in campaign coordination or a comparable role focused on outreach, community engagement, network management, or relationship building for an environmental or community organization.
• An undergraduate degree in environmental studies, sociology, political science, or related fields is preferred.
• Proven experience in volunteer coordination, advocacy or campaigning, and management is essential.
• Completion of a Climate Leadership Corps Training is regarded as a significant advantage.
• A strong passion for and understanding of climate change science and solutions is necessary.
• Well-connected within the regional network of climate and community advocates.
• Extensive background in community organizing and grassroots mobilization.
• Fully fluent in the primary language(s) of the region, both in written and spoken forms.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal abilities.
• Capable of professional and effective communication with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Results-driven approach.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word processing, Excel spreadsheets, Airtable, data management, email software, and web browsers.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms is considered a plus.
