Regional Director of Learning Environments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop and secure sales in the field with an emphasis on K–12 FF&E opportunities, fostering relationships within school districts and directly at school sites across all levels.

• Assume responsibility for a specific geographic area and manage your business effectively.

• Serve as a Lakeshore brand ambassador, advocating our value proposition to customers at all levels.

• Attend bid openings and board meetings, providing guidance for bid responses.

• Manage projects throughout the entire sales process, from lead generation to installation, while collaborating with the local Regional Sales Manager and Inside Sales Team members.

• Work with managers to assign tasks and responsibilities to project team members.

• Conduct product presentations and events aimed at familiarizing customers with proprietary services.

• Persuade customers and other key stakeholders to specify Lakeshore furniture and deliver CEU presentations when applicable.

• Initiate discussions, build relationships, and drive outcomes with district leadership while supporting the Outside and Inside Sales teams in their respective regions.

• Seek out bond opportunities, modernization, and significant capital improvement projects, positioning Lakeshore where necessary.

• Collaborate with the Inside Sales team and Marketing group to refine messaging and collateral materials that support your markets.

• Partner with Sales, Retail, and Professional Development to address the needs of local educators.

• Provide support to steer sales strategy, relationship management, and mentorship based on the specific region/territory.

• Maintain a continuous awareness of local, state, and national trends and funding opportunities in K–12 FF&E.

• Travel as necessary to understand the nuances of current and emerging markets within the designated region and participate in conferences to promote the Lakeshore brand.

• Manage your own sales pipeline opportunities throughout the complete sales process.

• Assist with sales pipeline opportunities identified by the Outside and Inside Sales teams and aid in account mapping to ensure all key stakeholders are recognized and develop action plans whenever possible.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred; relevant job experience may be considered in place of a degree.

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in sales or equivalent work experience.

• A background and understanding of K-12 furniture sales, along with A&D presentation experience (including product presentations and CEUs) is required.

• The role necessitates a solid understanding of how school districts and sites make FF&E procurement decisions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Salesforce is essential.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

• Excellent administrative and organizational skills, along with timely follow-up, are necessary.
