This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Direct, mentor, and foster the growth of a team of Business Development Officers to meet regional objectives and provide exceptional service.
• Develop and enhance strategic partnerships with franchise and independent dealerships throughout Texas.
• Propel regional business development strategies, meet loan origination goals, engage dealers, and uphold compliance standards.
• Assess market trends, competitive changes, and dealership performance to refine strategies and proactively modify plans.
• Collaborate with leadership to advance indirect lending initiatives, streamline processes, and promote the sustainable growth of programs.
• Represent OCCU at dealership events, networking functions, and partnership engagements, including occasional evenings and weekends.
• Ensure effective team communication, management of performance, and the consistent implementation of development plans.
• Compile and evaluate regional reports, monitor BDO activities, and swiftly address performance discrepancies.
• A minimum of eight years of experience in dealership sales or finance management, such as F&I Manager/Director, Sales Manager, GSM, or GM.
• At least three years of experience managing multiple dealership relationships or leading a field-based business development team.
• Robust knowledge of indirect lending with a comprehensive understanding of dealer operations, compliance, and effective lending strategies.
• Proficiency in the Texas market, including insights into regional dealership culture, competitive landscapes, and consumer trends in Dallas Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio/Austin.
• Outstanding leadership and communication abilities, capable of coaching, inspiring, and nurturing a high-performing team.
• Strategic relationship developer, adept at influencing partners, overcoming challenges, and generating long-term value.
• Highly organized and self-sufficient, thriving in remote work environments, territory planning, and demanding travel schedules.
• Adaptable and resilient, comfortable with evening/weekend commitments and rapid changes in priorities.
• A bachelor's degree is required (or equivalent experience demonstrating measurable business results).
• A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required.
