Regional Controller – Travel Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the end-of-month closing processes.

• Supervise hotel accounting functions across multiple properties.

• Train, manage, and mentor accountants within the portfolio.

• Create financial statements.

• Conduct bank reconciliations.

• Evaluate invoices and manage check disbursements.

• Oversee cash management.

• Prepare state and local tax filings, including sales tax, hotel occupancy tax, and telecommunications tax.

• Utilize the M3 accounting system to document and reconcile financial records.

• Address owner and property inquiries as necessary.

• Independently manage various projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.

• Proven experience in preparing financial statements.

• Experience managing multiple properties.

• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make effective decisions.

• Capacity to handle financial matters efficiently and effectively.

• Proficiency in multi-tasking.

• Capability to work autonomously.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Proven ability to quickly assimilate new information and adapt to changes.

• Strong analytical skills, with experience addressing "real-world" business challenges.

• Solid project management capabilities, with the ability to oversee multiple projects independently.

• Demonstrated ability to utilize spreadsheets for managing large data sets and translating them into insightful analyses.

• Requires focused mental and visual attention, spending over 90% of the time in front of a computer.

• M3 Accounting experience is highly preferred.

• 5-7 years of professional accounting experience in a hotel management context is strongly preferred.

• Previous experience in the hotel sector is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with M3 accounting software.

• Working knowledge of multiple PMS systems.

• Proficient in NetSuite.

• Proficient in Profitsword.
