Financial Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Supervise and manage accounting operations for multiple companies across various jurisdictions.

• Establish financial controlling processes from the ground up where none currently exist, and continuously enhance and adapt them as the business grows and evolves.

• Develop, implement, and consistently improve internal financial control procedures.

• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.

• Manage and facilitate external audits.

• Respond promptly to finance-related inquiries and requests from the CEO / Head of Finance.

• Efficiently manage external consultants and legal advisors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in accounting, financial control, or treasury, including knowledge of IFRS.

• Experience with a BIG-4 firm is strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated hands-on experience in establishing financial controlling processes from scratch and adapting them as the business evolves (not merely maintaining existing processes).

• Strong grasp of accounting principles; profound technical expertise, beyond just operational execution.

• ACCA qualification (ideally completed or nearing completion of professional level papers) is advantageous.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Quick learner, adept at navigating a dynamic, fast-paced, and often ambiguous environment.

• Capability to effectively manage external consultants and legal advisors.

• Proficient in English — Upper-Intermediate or higher.

• Proficient in Russian — Upper-Intermediate or higher.
