
Regional Commercial Sales Account Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Travel daily within the designated region to engage with existing clients and seek out new customers for business opportunities.
• Oversee projects from start to finish, which includes identifying opportunities, selecting products, specifying requirements, placing orders, tracking deliveries, supervising installations, conducting punch walks, and coordinating claims if necessary.
• Continuously search for potential new accounts while staying informed about developments in the local market.
• Follow up on various leads from sources such as Dodge, store leads, networking organizations, and more.
• Collaborate with the PRO Teams in each location to follow up on commercial leads shared by the store team to enhance sales efforts.
• Prepare proposals and respond to RFQs and RFPs from potential clients after securing pricing and specifications approval from management, as required.
• Coordinate with the Inside Commercial Sales team on critical dates to finalize sales and meet customer requirements.
• Liaise with the purchasing and inventory teams through the Commercial Support Center to verify product availability or determine if a special purchase order (PO) is necessary.
• Stay updated on merchandise training, new products, and product lines.
• Track prospects’ contract timelines and compile reports on lead status and other required documentation.
• Engage in trade associations and trade shows, and assist with other promotional activities.
• Perform additional tasks and responsibilities of a similar nature and scope as needed to achieve set business goals.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of prior commercial industry sales experience is necessary, preferably in the flooring or building materials sector.
• Proven success in an outside sales environment.
• Candidates must have knowledge of the LOCAL market.
• Proficiency in managing customer relationships through a CRM tool, such as Salesforce.com, is essential.
• Experience with RFPs, commercial job bids, and general construction sales is required.
• Experience in a retail setting is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional interpersonal and customer service abilities, including skills in influencing and negotiation.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently in an unstructured environment, exercising sound judgment and showcasing robust time management and organizational skills.
