Regional Claims Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Assume full responsibility for a varied portfolio of rental vehicle claims within your assigned region.

• Investigate incidents to establish liability.

• Handle intricate customer disputes and negotiate recoveries.

• Guide claims to resolution while balancing commercial objectives with outstanding customer service.

• Evaluate liability across multiple claim types, including single vehicle incidents, multi-vehicle collisions, theft claims, and third-party issues.

• Oversee disputed claims and assist the National Claims Manager with escalated or complex claims issues.

• Address and manage AFIA complaints and other external dispute resolution matters within stipulated timeframes.

• Aid in tribunal-related matters, such as preparing evidence, crafting submissions, and attending hearings as needed.

• Offer claims guidance and support to Branch Managers, Fleet Controllers, and operational stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in motor claims, rental vehicle claims, or general insurance claims management.

• Proven ability to assess liability, investigate claims, and resolve disputes in a customer-centric environment.

• Excellent negotiation skills, capable of managing disputes and influencing outcomes.

• Ability to handle a high-volume workload in a dynamic environment.

• Strong time management and organizational capabilities, with meticulous attention to detail.

• Confidence in managing phone-based conversations, including challenging situations.

• Clear and professional communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.

• Strong problem-solving capabilities and sound decision-making skills.

• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
