Claims Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations into claims by analyzing documentation, photographs, bills of lading, contracts, and inspection reports.

• Engage directly with clients to gather information, clarify specifics, and set appropriate expectations.

• Create comprehensive liability assessments in accordance with federal regulations (Carmack Amendment) and valuation agreements.

• Work collaboratively with dispatch, foremen, and warehouse personnel to ensure the accuracy of documentation.

• Identify parties responsible for any disruptions caused.

• Keep precise records of claims, supporting documents, and settlement proposals in the claims management system.

• Develop resolution proposals that balance contractual liability with goodwill adjustments when suitable.

• Ensure timely resolution of all claims to prevent escalation.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; skilled in de-escalating challenging client situations.

• Understanding of liability frameworks within the moving industry (RVP, FVP, Carmack Amendment).

• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail for thorough documentation review.

• Capacity to collaborate across various departments, including operations, dispatch, and finance teams.

• Proficient writing skills for drafting clear and professional settlement proposals and correspondence.

• Availability to work six days a week during the summer months, within US PT time zone.
