This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +8 more states.
• The Regional Business Director (RBD) plays a key role in driving sales growth by recruiting, training, and inspiring a high-caliber sales channel.
• This position aligns distributor objectives with Acumed’s strategic vision, collaborates with distributors to identify business development requirements, and supports sales efforts for major accounts.
• The RBD monitors progress towards goals, manages equipment and resources, and ensures adherence to company policies.
• Develop and implement strategies aimed at increasing market share and revenue within the designated territory.
• Recruit and lead high-performing sales teams that are aligned with growth and product strategies.
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with key surgeons, customers, and distributors.
• Forecast and report on sales revenue and KPIs; ensure accountability to quotas and take corrective actions when necessary.
• Manage inventory usage and distribution in the field in accordance with company policy.
• Collaborate with National Accounts on contracting and pricing strategies for hospitals and major accounts.
• Conduct regular business reviews with sales entities; develop and manage strategic plans by Business Unit.
• Identify market trends and competitor activities; pursue new growth opportunities.
• Assist with field sales training requirements; engage in sales meetings, conventions, and industry events.
• Required to travel weekly (by air and land) as necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field is required; MBA is preferred.
• Over 10 years of experience in medical products/devices, with at least 5 years in managing independent agents/distributors and direct sales teams.
• Strong comprehension of regional market dynamics and business practices.
• Exceptional relationship management, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.
• Demonstrated capability to address product inquiries and the surgical application of devices.
• Familiarity with healthcare industry trends and principles of business development.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical and leadership skills; capable of working both independently and in collaboration with others.
