This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Formulate and implement a strategic business development strategy for the designated territory, market, and target accounts.
• Discover, engage, and cultivate new customers and revenue opportunities within the healthcare and life sciences sectors.
• Create and sustain a qualified opportunity pipeline to support both short-term and long-term revenue expansion.
• Foster relationships with senior decision-makers and executive-level contacts within customer organizations.
• Conduct customer discovery sessions and present Marken and UPS Healthcare capabilities to create unique solutions.
• Oversee the commercial lifecycle from initial prospecting through solution development, proposal creation, pricing, negotiation, contract award, and transition to implementation.
• Lead the responses to intricate RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
• Partner with Pricing, Operations, Solutions, Quality, Legal, Finance, Marketing, and other stakeholders to create commercial proposals and integrated solutions for customers.
• Negotiate commercial terms while adhering to revenue and profitability targets.
• Design account penetration strategies and nurture relationships across various organizations, business units, geographical areas, and services.
• Keep track of opportunities, pipeline, activity, and forecasting data in Salesforce and other commercial systems.
• Relay opportunity status, risks, competitive insights, forecasts, and necessary internal actions.
• Stay informed about industry trends, customer developments, competitive actions, and emerging market opportunities.
• Act as a representative for Marken and UPS Healthcare during customer meetings, industry events, conferences, and other external engagements.
• Assist in the transition of awarded business from Sales to Implementation and Operations.
• Meet assigned objectives for new-business revenue, pipeline development, activity, and overall commercial performance.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Substantial experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles that involve complex B2B solutions.
• Proven track record of personally originating, developing, and securing new business.
• Demonstrated ability to establish territories and cultivate pipelines through proactive prospecting and relationship building.
• Experience in managing intricate sales cycles that include multiple customer and internal stakeholders.
• Strong commercial and financial understanding, encompassing pricing, profitability, revenue, and solution economics.
• Ability to effectively engage with senior and executive-level stakeholders in customer organizations.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Capability to work efficiently in a matrixed, cross-functional, and global organization.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage several significant opportunities simultaneously.
• Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, for managing opportunities, developing pipelines, and forecasting.
• Willingness and ability to travel according to customer and business needs.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen, a National of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
