Regional Asset Protection Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, lead, and enhance the Asset Protection function for ALO sanctuaries within designated Central United States districts.

• Collaborate with regional Asset Protection colleagues, Retail Operations leadership, and the Director of Asset Protection and Safety.

• Analyze shrinkage results and formulate strategies to combat theft, fraud, and operational inaccuracies.

• Propel shrink-reduction objectives and relay Asset Protection initiatives to field leadership and store teams.

• Evaluate high-shrink and high-risk sanctuaries and devise actionable, measurable plans.

• Conduct risk assessments, site vulnerability analyses, and security evaluations.

• Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, biannual, and annual Asset Protection summaries along with KPI trend analyses.

• Utilize POS data, inventory reports, RFID, CCTV, case management systems, AI-driven tools, and various analytics to discern patterns of loss and risk.

• Carry out investigations related to internal and external theft, fraud, organized retail crime, cash loss, merchandise loss, and integrity issues.

• Conduct interviews and draft investigative reports, summarizing findings and recommendations.

• Collaborate with Retail Operations, People & Culture, Legal, law enforcement, and industry organizations.

• Oversee physical security systems, training, third-party security providers, post orders, and security resources.

• Assist in the opening of new sanctuaries by performing security assessments, ensuring system readiness, and providing Asset Protection training.

• Respond to incidents involving theft, violence, threats, cash shortages, vandalism, robbery, burglary, severe weather, civil unrest, and other emergencies.

• Educate and coach store teams on Asset Protection, theft prevention, operational controls, fraud prevention, workplace safety, and incident reporting.

• Act as a liaison with law enforcement, government agencies, security professionals, and retail-industry partners.

• Promote integrity, accountability, safety, and responsible use of technology.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or a relevant combination of education and professional experience in retail Asset Protection, loss prevention, investigations, law enforcement, private security, risk management, or a related field.

• At least five years of multi-unit, field-based Asset Protection or loss prevention experience.

• Minimum of two years in a supervisory or leadership role supporting multiple locations.

• Proven experience in conducting internal and external theft, fraud, and integrity investigations.

• Strong analytical skills with a track record of translating reports and data into actionable loss-reduction and risk-mitigation strategies.

• Demonstrated curiosity and proficiency in leveraging AI-enabled technology to improve analysis, investigations, productivity, and strategic decision-making.

• Capacity to critically assess AI-generated information and apply sound professional judgment.

• Excellent written, verbal, interviewing, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Ability to cultivate relationships at all levels of the organization and with external partners.

• Competence in prioritizing competing responsibilities and working independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Skill in managing sensitive and challenging situations with discretion, objectivity, and diplomacy.

• Proficiency with Asset Protection applications, CCTV platforms, POS reporting, RFID, case management tools, Shopify, and Microsoft Office applications.

• Familiarity with Canadian privacy, surveillance, security, employment, and workplace safety regulations is preferred.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with company personnel, third-party security providers, and law enforcement partners.

• Willingness to learn new technologies, skills, methodologies, and industry best practices.

• Capacity to respond to store emergencies and maintain a high level of accessibility.

• Willingness to travel extensively throughout Central DFW, including overnight and weekend travel, up to approximately 80% of the time.
