This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Achieve or surpass all assigned quotas and targets while forecasting weekly, monthly, and quarterly revenue for the designated account portfolio and overall territory.
• Meet or exceed the necessary number of face-to-face meetings each month with customers and partners in the territory to uncover new opportunities and expand existing ones.
• Actively participate in all team activities related to enablement, forecasting, partner updates, partner sales initiatives, and recognition.
• Generate and monitor sales opportunities (leads, renewals, deal registrations, and quotes in Salesforce.com).
• Address any customer satisfaction concerns and/or requests promptly.
• Drive sales cycles to closure while building relationships and credibility, and provide essential presales support for prospects and customers.
• Collaborate closely with your local Channel Account Manager (CAM) and our reseller partner network to drive deals, enhance revenue, and support channel partners’ success in the Mid-Market sector.
• Follow up on inbound leads from the web and corporate events.
• Conduct inbound and outbound prospecting activities to identify new sales opportunities.
• Meet and exceed sales activity metrics designed to enhance productivity and success.
• Lead customer presentations and demonstrations using online tools (GO TO MEETING).
• Perform ongoing analysis and provide reports on supported opportunities.
• Serve as a liaison between partners, customers, and relevant Fortinet team members.
• Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned to support business growth.
• Carry out the role with the highest level of professionalism in alignment with Fortinet’s core values.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Open to coaching and adaptable.
• Over 1 year of field sales experience in the B2B technology sector.
• Familiarity with the businesses and partners within the local territory.
• Capability to conduct effective customer-facing and partner-facing meetings while providing timely and relevant written follow-up.
• A demonstrated history of meeting and exceeding sales quotas and targets.
• Understanding of the sales cycle in relation to internal and external business processes.
• Ability to manage and drive sales cycles from initiation to completion, including experience in managing and forecasting individual quotas.
• Self-motivated and capable of managing a diverse and high-volume workload.
• Ability to quickly establish productive relationships in a dynamic, high-performance environment.
• Proficient with computer applications.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
• Well-organized with effective time management and activity management skills.
• Ability to leverage entrepreneurial strengths in a proactive, innovative manner.
• Capability to close business deals while ensuring a high level of customer and partner satisfaction.

• The Regional Account Manager must spend over 50% of their time outside of their office or home office engaged in sales activities, including necessary travel to secure sales.
