This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Assume complete ownership and responsibility for all commercial operations and stakeholder relationships within the designated healthcare locality, concentrating on both primary and secondary NHS care providers.
• Implement the Infinity sales process from start to finish to ensure consistent, compliant, and effective interaction with customers and stakeholders.
• Meet or surpass sales objectives across the entire Scope Ophthalmics portfolio, ensuring a strategic focus on priority products such as Hylo and branded glaucoma generics.
• Develop and sustain a comprehensive understanding of the NHS landscape, including Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), Local Health Boards (LHBs), Health Boards (HBs), local formularies, and patient pathways pertinent to ophthalmology treatments.
• Establish robust, trustworthy relationships with key NHS decision-makers, including payers, formulary committees, ophthalmologists, optometrists, pharmacists, and relevant primary care stakeholders.
• Utilize sales tools effectively, including business analytics, CRM data, ShowPad, and marketing materials, to facilitate data-driven decision-making and drive growth across the specified healthcare locality.
• Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans that align with company goals and local NHS priorities.
• Collaborate efficiently with cross-functional teams (L&D, Commercial, Value & Outcomes, Projects Lead, Medical, Marketing) to ensure a unified approach in customer engagement and market development.
• Represent Scope Ophthalmics at local, regional, and national meetings, conferences, and forums to enhance brand visibility and influence clinical practices.
• Stay informed of competitor activities, changes in NHS policies, and market trends to proactively adjust sales strategies.
• Exemplify Scope's values and engagement behaviors in all interactions, maintaining a professional, ethical, and customer-oriented approach.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (preferably in life sciences, healthcare, business, or a related field).
• ABPI qualification.
• Extensive experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales, ideally within ophthalmology or related specialties.
• Proven history of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a complex, multi-stakeholder NHS environment.
• Strong understanding of NHS structures, commissioning pathways, and local formularies, with the capability to navigate intricate healthcare settings.
• Competence in interpreting and utilizing sales analytics and business intelligence tools to drive decision-making.
• Ability to influence stakeholders in clinical and therapeutic decision-making, as well as portfolio positioning to align with the NHS agenda and influence cost-effectiveness decisions.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of effectively managing a large geographical territory.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
• Proficient in digital tools for sales presentations and remote engagement (e.g., ShowPad, CRM systems).
• Willingness to travel within the assigned locality and participate in relevant events.
• A proactive and growth-oriented mindset with a customer-centric approach.
