This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Facilitate the adoption of Alexion’s aHUS and HSCT-TMA therapies through effective field sales execution, compliant clinical education, and tailored account-specific strategies.
• Create demand, ensure appropriate product accessibility, and promote therapy adoption within designated accounts.
• Establish trustworthy relationships with healthcare professionals throughout the territory.
• Meet or surpass sales targets for the assigned territory and indications.
• Formulate and implement disease-specific sales account plans targeting academic centers, hospitals, IDNs, community accounts, and other key care sites.
• Analyze stakeholders, patient journeys, diagnostic workflows, referral paths, and account elements that affect therapy adoption.
• Identify deficiencies in diagnostic workflows, referral pathways, operational readiness, clinical protocol adoption, and stakeholder alignment; implement corrective measures.
• Foster clinical advocacy and education and cultivate clinical champions across pertinent specialties.
• Communicate approved clinical messaging regarding disease states, unmet needs, diagnostic criteria, therapy integration, brand selection, and formulary access.
• Enhance understanding of therapy implementation, treatment workflows, pharmacy processes, infusion, and site-of-care dynamics.
• Educate stakeholders on fulfillment, payer access, reimbursement, prior authorization, and access-support mechanisms.
• Activate cross-functional teams and enterprise partners to achieve account objectives and address obstacles.
• Advocate for customer priorities internally and promote account-specific solutions.
• Develop and uphold account- and indication-specific business plans.
• Address customer inquiries and objections compliantly and direct inquiries to the appropriate partners.
• Utilize CRM tools and AI-enhanced instruments to prioritize tasks, monitor engagement, document activities, submit reports, and optimize call execution.
• Leverage AI-driven insights for territory planning, HCP targeting, and pre-call strategies.
• Offer product expertise and customer service across assigned accounts.
• Conduct work in accordance with Alexion’s Code of Ethics and policies.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Over 5 years of experience in specialty pharmaceuticals, rare disease sales, account management, or complex institutional selling.
• Strong comprehension of healthcare systems, reimbursement processes, fulfillment pathways, and multi-stakeholder decision-making.
• Proven success in navigating clinical formulary and access processes, engaging multidisciplinary stakeholders, influencing treatment pathway adoption, and driving utilization.
• Capability to build relationships and influence clinical, administrative, operational, pharmacy, and access stakeholders.
• Exceptional strategic planning, problem-solving, account management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in understanding and interpreting complex clinical data.
• Ability to navigate fulfillment, reimbursement, protocol integration, and operational challenges across accounts.
• Skilled in mapping intricate patient journeys and aligning account plans with business objectives.
• Competence in coordinating cross-functional teams and managing role boundaries.
• Must reside within the geographic territory or within 50 miles of the territory border.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the territory, including frequent overnight and weekend travel.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Preferred: advanced or Master’s degree.
• Preferred: experience in orphan or ultra-orphan disease markets.
• Preferred: bio/pharma experience in hematology, hem/onc, oncology, nephrology, transplant, internal medicine, or hospital-based specialty care.
• Preferred: experience with academic centers, hospitals, IDNs, Centers of Excellence, and complex community networks.
• Preferred: proven success in driving protocol adoption, formulary support, workflow integration, and multi-stakeholder account pull-through.
