• Propel territory expansion by identifying, developing, and finalizing new business opportunities, while nurturing relationships with current accounts.
• Act as the primary point of account management for healthcare providers, which includes physicians, genetic counselors, and their support staff.
• Provide customized, consultative sales presentations that highlight the benefits of GeneDx’s offerings and services.
• Organize and conduct both in-person and virtual meetings with clients.
• Work in conjunction with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless onboarding, service delivery, and prompt resolution of customer concerns.
• Spearhead educational initiatives within the territory by planning and executing in-office appointments, regional conference events, physician lunches and dinners, and other engagement strategies.
• Stay updated on advancements in clinical genomics, product offerings, and the competitive landscape to effectively position GeneDx.
• Maintain a strong field presence, expected to spend 4.5 days per week engaging with clients.
• Achieve or surpass assigned sales targets, KPIs, and activity benchmarks.
• Record customer opportunities, interactions, and updates in CRM and other business systems as necessary, while maintaining a development pipeline for targeted clinicians.
• Actively embody and promote GeneDx's cultural principles: adapt to change; communicate directly and empathetically; fulfill commitments; be bold in vision and courageous in execution; and operate with a sense of urgency.
• Exhibit accountability and a robust work ethic, with a team-oriented mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Minimum of 3 years in healthcare sales, ideally in a physician sales/services setting or 2+ years of experience as a genetic counselor.
• Demonstrate strong technical aptitude and the capability to promote various service offerings while managing multiple business opportunities simultaneously.
• A valid driver's license is mandatory.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and territorial responsibilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
