
Regional Account Executive – General Pediatrics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Drive growth in your territory by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities while nurturing relationships with current General Pediatrician accounts.
• Act as the primary point of account management for healthcare providers, which includes general pediatricians, mid-level practitioners, and their staff.
• Provide customized, consultative sales presentations to convey the advantages of GeneDx’s solutions and services tailored for the pediatric demographic.
• Organize and facilitate both in-person and virtual meetings with clients.
• Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure effective onboarding, service delivery, and prompt resolution of any customer-related issues.
• Lead educational initiatives within the territory, which encompass developing and executing in-office appointments, organizing regional conference events, hosting physician lunches/dinners, and other engagement activities.
• Remain up-to-date on advancements in clinical genomics, pediatric testing standards, product offerings, and the competitive landscape to effectively position GeneDx.
• Maintain a strong field presence, dedicating approximately 4.5 days each week to client interactions.
• Achieve or surpass assigned sales goals, KPIs, and activity metrics.
• Record customer opportunities, interactions, and updates in CRM and other necessary business systems, while sustaining a target clinician development pipeline.
• Actively embody and promote the cultural principles of GeneDx: being adaptable to change; communicating openly with empathy; fulfilling commitments; demonstrating bold vision and courageous execution; and operating with a strong sense of action.
• Show accountability and a robust work ethic, fostering a team-first attitude.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• A minimum of 3 years in healthcare sales, preferably within a physician sales/services environment, or 2+ years as a genetic counselor.
• Strong preference for candidates with experience selling to general pediatric practices.
• Possess a strong technical aptitude and the ability to promote various service offerings while managing multiple business opportunities simultaneously.
• A valid driver’s license is necessary.
• Must be capable of working independently and effectively managing time and activities within the territory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
