Refrigeration Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance (PPM), respond to reactive callouts, and perform emergency breakdown repairs on commercial refrigeration systems.

• Identify and rectify mechanical and electrical issues within refrigeration systems.

• Carry out the installation and commissioning of new refrigeration equipment and systems.

• Ensure adherence to F-Gas regulations, health and safety protocols, and company policies.

• Keep precise service records, reports, and documentation using digital job management systems.

• Deliver excellent customer service on-site, coordinating with clients, store managers, and head office representatives to guarantee effective communication and timely updates.

• Participate in an on-call rotation to assist with emergency breakdowns outside regular working hours.

• Ensure the company vehicle, tools, and equipment are maintained in optimal working order.

⛳️ Requirements

• F-Gas certification (Category 1) – mandatory.

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.

• Understanding of CO₂ refrigeration systems (both transcritical and subcritical).

• Valid UK driving licence.

• At least 3 years of experience in commercial refrigeration.

• Experience with retail refrigeration systems is preferred.

• Familiarity with leading refrigeration brands (SCM, Hussmann, AHT, etc.).
