
Referral Coordinator, Specialty Pharmacy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Support the processing of all incoming specialty prescriptions from referring prescribers.
• Begin prescription prior authorization processes on behalf of prescriber offices.
• Organize and verify the delivery of patients’ prescriptions.
• Establish contact and foster new potential relationships with clinics and prescribers.
• Convey prescription, insurance, and financial requirements to pharmacists, providers, clinical support staff, and patients.
• Collaborate with clinic staff, third-party payers, manufacturers, prescription benefit management companies, external pharmacy personnel, and referring providers and their support teams.
• Operate in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, maintaining the highest ethical standards.
• Act as a liaison among medical staff, outpatient pharmacies, insurance companies, and patients to enhance communication and continuity of care.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Some college education is preferred.
• Certification as a CPhT or a licensed Medical Assistant is preferred.
• A minimum of one year of experience in specialty pharmacy or a medical office is preferred.
