This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as the primary contact for incoming calls from patients, pharmacies, and healthcare providers.
• Execute advanced administrative, operational, and customer support tasks autonomously.
• Assist the interdisciplinary CIT team in overcoming medication access challenges for primary care-managed prescriptions.
• Perform reviews of medication lists and address formulary and cost-management requirements.
• Aid in the application process for the Patient Assistance Program and conduct screenings for Low Income Subsidy enrollment.
• Provide education to patients regarding the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan.
• Handle pharmacy-related access challenges and referrals in accordance with established protocols.
• Engage in patient outreach and collaborate with clinics and providers.
• Record case activities, outreach efforts, outcomes, and updates on case statuses.
• Review brand and generic medication names, medical terminology, and pharmaceutical calculations.
• Conduct medication adherence outreach, including auditing, documenting, and reporting relevant to STAR measures as necessary.
• Facilitate the resolution of prior authorization and medication acquisition issues in collaboration with other departments.
• Attend scheduled team meetings and provide feedback on workflow processes.
• Receive and manage referrals through the Internal Medication Access Program referral system.
• Initiate and manage patient assistance programs, prior authorizations, formulary exceptions/alternatives, and tier reductions.
• Provide assistance with medication packaging education, pharmacy transfers, third-party rejections, and override support.
• Process specific medication claim updates as requested by clinical pharmacists or healthcare providers.
• Adhere to program guidelines to ensure timely and appropriate medication access support.
• Successful completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program.
• Active and unrestricted State Pharmacy Technician License in your state of residence.
• PTCB Certified with Medication Therapy Management Certification.
• At least three (3) years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Familiarity with the top 200 medications.
• Experience and/or capability to work with electronic health record systems.
• Prior Authorization experience.
• Experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management.
• Availability to work Monday–Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM local time.
• Internet service with a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps.
