This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Deliver outstanding customer service in a phone-centric environment

• Accurately input large volumes of data and manage prescription details

• Handle prescription authorizations, clarifications, and transfers utilizing drug expertise

• Conduct claim adjudication and auditing, including prior authorizations, billing, and eligibility verifications

• Initiate outbound calls to patients concerning prior authorizations and their care

• Manage current case queues to address patient care concerns

• Act as a liaison between clinical pharmacists and other healthcare professionals

• Collaborate with technicians and pharmacists to onboard new patients

• Ensure the confidentiality and accuracy of patient records

• Retrieve and confirm prescription details through calls to doctors

• Make welcome calls to newly onboarded patients

• Develop, maintain, and update medication profiles via outbound calls

• Provide additional support during peak patient call times

• Assist patients with inquiries over the phone

• Support ExactCare's nationwide patient community in a high-volume, fast-paced setting

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

• Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Health Association (NHA), with a current certificate

• Must possess a pharmacy technician registration with the State Board of Pharmacy

• Minimum age of 18 years

• Previous experience in a pharmacy environment

• Capability to operate in an office-based (or remote) setting, primarily sitting at a desk for 90% of the time

• Comfortable in a phone-based work setting

• Ability to work autonomously

• Proficient in using computer equipment, technology, and various software applications

• Exceptional customer service abilities when interacting with doctors' offices, pharmacists, and patients via phone

• Comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceuticals

• Understanding of pharmacy billing processes

• Familiarity with prescription intake, clarifications, and transfer procedures

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent prioritization and organizational abilities

• Commitment to maintaining a high level of confidentiality

• Critical thinking skills and ability to document relevant details in compliance with state and federal regulations

• Must be able to travel to multiple site locations within the designated territory

• Willingness to work extended hours as necessary

• Availability outside of regular business hours on an ad-hoc basis
