Referral Coordinator, OPO, Transplant Center Experience Preferred

📋 Description

• In the role of Remote Referral Coordinator, you will play a vital part in advancing LifeLink’s life-saving mission.

• Your primary duty will be to assess and address hospital referrals to determine the potential for organ or tissue donation.

• You will implement LifeLink’s policies and procedures while documenting the promptness of responses to referrals and guiding the responding staff.

• Additionally, you will gather information to assist in identifying potential donors, BD, DCD viability, medical suitability, and prioritization of next of kin.

• You will participate in a call schedule rotation to ensure this position's responsibilities are covered 24/7.

• You will communicate effectively with Hospitals, AOC, MDOC, management personnel, FCC, TC, IHC, and other development teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of one year in a related LifeLink role and/or relevant credentials and experience, which may include a medical-related degree or certification (RN) or suitable experience in a healthcare setting.

• Completion of all probationary level position requirements or other related roles.

• Proven above-average verbal communication abilities and exceptional phone etiquette.

• Availability to participate in the 24/7 call rotation and a work schedule that may necessitate responding to emergency backup calls.

• An understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality in accordance with Foundation protocols.
