This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Proactively identify, approach, and engage passive candidates through targeted headhunting, market mapping, and direct outreach rather than depending solely on inbound applications.
• Establish credibility and manage relationships with senior stakeholders, including hiring managers, executive leadership, regional HR, and external partners, influencing and aligning them throughout the recruitment process.
• Rigorously apply CIMMYT's recruitment policies and procedures, GEYSI standards, and host-institute requirements, ensuring that every search is fully compliant and prepared for audits from start to finish.
• Oversee multiple concurrent searches with minimal supervision, prioritizing tasks and driving processes to completion amidst competing demands and changing timelines.
• Collaborate effectively across a globally distributed, multi-stakeholder organization, working with hiring managers, regional HR, host institutions, and external vendors, often in situations with ambiguous or evolving requirements.
• Adopt a genuinely international perspective for sourcing and engaging candidates across Africa, Asia, and LATAM.
• Design and implement targeted sourcing strategies customized for each role and region.
• Identify and connect with high-potential passive candidates via professional platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, academic networks, sector-specific boards).
• Maintain and refresh candidate pipelines and sourcing trackers regularly.
• Conduct structured screening interviews using competency- and values-based approaches.
• Prepare interview sheets and assist interview panels with relevant evaluation tools.
• Facilitate structured debriefs to support transparent and inclusive selection decisions.
• Ensure a smooth and timely recruitment process that aligns with both candidate and hiring manager expectations.
• Provide weekly updates to the Talent Acquisition Manager.
• Suggest enhancements to processes, tools, or communications based on feedback from candidates and hiring managers.
• Ensure positive and respectful interactions with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
• Deliver timely updates to candidates and hiring teams.
• Assist with reference checks and offer coordination as necessary.
• A minimum of 12 years of experience in international recruitment, executive search, or talent acquisition.
• Proven success in sourcing and hiring for complex, technical, and/or international mid-to-senior level positions.
• Solid understanding of sourcing tools, Boolean search techniques, and sector-specific networks.
• Experience working with or for mission-driven organizations, preferably in the agriculture, research, development, or nonprofit sectors.
• Exceptional communication, organization, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Spanish is a strong asset.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems is mandatory.
