Real Estate Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive searches including current-owner and title updates by analyzing chains of title, deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, probate records, maps, and tax assessments.

• Investigate online county portals, Register of Deeds systems, Clerk of Court platforms, and GIS systems.

• Summarize search results into clear, concise, and organized title abstracts.

• Identify issues related to title clouds and potential liabilities.

• Accurately input abstract details into title production software while maintaining well-organized and up-to-date files.

• Address and rectify missing links, discrepancies in names, errors in legal descriptions, and complex vesting situations.

• Ensure that abstracting tasks adhere to county standards, state legal regulations, and underwriter guidelines.

• Handle multiple search requests and provide precise results within stringent deadlines, including urgent orders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2–4 years of demonstrated experience in real estate title abstracting or examination.

• Direct and practical experience with abstracting properties in North Carolina and/or South Carolina.

• In-depth knowledge of local county recording systems and probate procedures.

• Proficient in using online real estate search platforms, county indexing systems, and standard remote office tools.

• Outstanding research and analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.

• Capability to identify encumbrances, liens, and structural discrepancies in title chains.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Proven track record of managing multiple search requests and delivering accurate results under tight deadlines.

• Access to a reliable, high-speed internet connection.

• Self-motivated work ethic.

• Experience with Qualia or similar cloud-based title and closing platforms is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with county abstracting procedures, tax offices, and municipal utility liens in the Carolinas is advantageous.
