This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Deliver remote oversight during intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM)

• Analyze clinical and neurophysiological information in real time to ensure patient safety and safeguard neural structures

• Assess IONM strategies based on surgical methods, neural risks, clinical situations, medical history, and imaging results

• Suggest anesthetic protocols and physiological adjustments to enhance data quality

• Direct neuromonitoring technologists in data gathering, recording, and troubleshooting

• Verify baseline data quality and track changes throughout the surgery

• Analyze significant data variations and promptly advise the surgical team on necessary interventions

• Produce comprehensive reports documenting intraoperative sessions, monitoring techniques, procedural specifics, and notable changes

• Participate in quality assurance projects and development of outcome measures

• Guide neuromonitoring technologists and support their professional growth

• Transfer supervisory duties as required while ensuring essential information is communicated

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced degree (MD or DO)

• Valid medical license in the state where the surgery occurs

• Credentials in clinical neurology or neurophysiology, such as those from the American Board of Neurophysiologic Monitoring or the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology

• Adherence to continuing education and licensure obligations

• Engagement in Morbidity and Mortality (M&M) conferences as required

• Experience in interpreting neurophysiological data during surgical procedures

• In-depth understanding of intraoperative neuromonitoring techniques

• Strong communication and decision-making skills under pressure

• Proficient with relevant tools and equipment

• Capability to work autonomously with minimal oversight

• Ability to handle stress and sustain productivity amidst tight deadlines and shifting priorities

• Capacity to remain in a stationary position for extended periods

• Ability to occasionally move short to moderate distances

• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
