Reading Interventionist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Conduct virtual reading intervention sessions in small groups and individually, focusing on phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.

• Administer and leverage diagnostic assessments such as Renaissance Star, Oral Reading Fluency, and Core Phonics Screeners to identify student requirements.

• Create and execute personalized learning objectives while regularly monitoring student progress.

• Gather and evaluate student data to track advancement toward set goals.

• Keep precise records of interventions, student achievements, and communication logs.

• Employ online resources such as IXL and digital reading platforms to enhance instruction and reinforce skills.

• Present outcomes to administrators and participate in schoolwide literacy enhancement initiatives.

• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education personnel, and administrators to synchronize intervention strategies with primary instruction.

• Engage in grade-level team meetings to assess student performance and outline subsequent actions.

• Communicate with families to discuss progress, offer resources for at-home reading practice, and foster strong partnerships.

• Fulfill additional duties as assigned.

• Ability to provide targeted, research-based literacy interventions for students requiring assistance in phonics, fluency, and/or comprehension.

• Proficiency in using a personal electronic device.
