This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications utilizing React Native.
• Create user-friendly interfaces for capturing and interacting with field data.
• Ensure optimal performance and responsiveness across various mobile devices.
• Uphold code quality, testing standards, and application stability.
• Design and implement workflows capable of offline functionality for environments with unreliable connectivity.
• Develop robust mechanisms for data synchronization between mobile devices and backend systems.
• Address conflict resolution, ensure data integrity, and implement retry logic for data collected in the field.
• Enhance performance for low-bandwidth and fluctuating network conditions.
• Integrate with device features such as GPS, camera, photo capture, and various sensors.
• Create workflows for capturing, storing, and transmitting images and geospatial data.
• Ensure smooth interaction between native modules and React Native components.
• Connect mobile applications with backend APIs and platform services.
• Ensure seamless data flow from field data into the platform's data and AI layers.
• Collaborate with backend and AI engineers to support comprehensive workflows.
• Maintain alignment with platform architecture and data models.
• Partner with the Senior Product Designer to implement cohesive and intuitive user experiences.
• Work alongside Product Support Analysts to identify usability challenges and friction points.
• Incorporate feedback from field users to enhance workflows and increase adoption.
• Build and sustain mobile CI/CD pipelines for deploying applications on iOS and Android.
• Oversee app releases, version management, and distribution processes.
• Monitor application performance and address production issues as they arise.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in mobile application development.
• Strong expertise in React Native and TypeScript.
• Experience in building and deploying cross-platform applications for both iOS and Android.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing offline-first mobile applications.
• Proficient in data synchronization, conflict resolution, and mobile data storage techniques.
• Experience integrating native device capabilities such as GPS, camera, and sensors.
• Skilled in consuming and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with mobile CI/CD pipelines and application deployment processes.
• Strong understanding of mobile performance optimization and debugging techniques.
• Experience in agile, product-oriented development environments.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in developing applications for field-based professionals in construction, engineering, utilities, or similar sectors is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with geospatial data, mapping, or location-based services is a plus.
• Experience with offline data capture and synchronization at scale is greatly preferred.
• A genuine curiosity about field team operations and how technology can enhance their workflows.
