React Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Croatia, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• We are seeking a seasoned React engineer located in Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, or Slovenia, who is prepared to tackle a challenging project for a prominent brand in the finance sector.

• Our client is a top player in the finance industry. You will be responsible for developing new features for a desktop application alongside a skilled team of designers, backend developers, QA engineers, and project managers.

• You will collaborate closely with the project team and integrate into our core JavaScript team, which comprises 30 engineers engaged in a variety of web and mobile projects for global clients. We have extensive experience with web technologies, primarily focusing on solutions that operate in browsers, but we are also capable of managing backend and mobile requests as needed. Our preferred technologies include React and Angular, with some team members also utilizing Vue, Node, and React Native.

• At Infinum, we foster a culture of continuous learning, which is why our team conducts weekly lectures and workshops while actively contributing to the open-source community.

• Location: Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, or Slovenia

• The team operates on Eastern Time (EST), with working hours from 11 AM to 7 PM.

• Engagement type: Project-based engagement with the possibility of extension based on project outcomes and business needs.

• **Your responsibilities**

• - Collaborating closely with backend developers to deliver features

• - Defining tasks and providing time estimates

• - Writing clean, maintainable code and conducting testing

• - Presenting your solutions to clients and/or groups of colleagues

• - Rolling out new features and analyzing (and responding to) insights gathered from our QA engineers and user feedback

• - Proactively communicating with other team members and project stakeholders

• - Working within a cross-functional team

⛳️ Requirements

• **Qualifications & experience**

• - Over 4 years of experience as a frontend or full-stack developer

• - More than 3 years of experience with React (preferably React Hooks)

• - Proficiency in CSS

• - Familiarity with state management tools (Jotai, Zustand, React Context)

• - Knowledge of TypeScript

• - Experience with command-line tools (Git, npm, Yarn, etc.)

• - Capability to manage new projects as well as enhance existing ones

• - Strong understanding of the web and browsers

• - Excellent verbal and written English skills

• - Experience with hands-on, cross-functional product teams and short feedback cycles is a significant advantage

• - Prior experience in the financial sector is a plus
