R&D Scientist III, Algorithm Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive analytical evaluations of NGS sequencing data to assess sequencing performance metrics and aid in assay development.

• Validate and confirm the computational algorithms utilized in NGS analysis pipelines.

• Assist in NGS panel design efforts, encompassing analytical evaluations and quality considerations.

• Execute end-to-end validation of NGS analysis pipelines to ensure precision, reproducibility, and reliability.

• Contribute to quality assurance initiatives through data assessment, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.

• Record analytical methodologies, validation studies, and updates to pipelines in clear, well-organized technical documentation.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including assay development, bioinformatics, and quality assurance, to further R&D goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, Computer Science, or a related discipline; or a M.S. with over 3 years of pertinent experience.

• Practical experience with NGS data analysis, including the assessment of sequencing performance metrics and assay quality.

• Experience in validating computational algorithms or bioinformatics analysis pipelines.

• Proficiency in Python and/or R for data analysis and development of pipelines.

• Strong analytical skills, along with excellent documentation and collaboration abilities within a cross-functional R&D setting.
