R&D Engineer, Software 3

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Conduct research and create innovative solutions that will influence the future trajectory of Broadcom.

• Collaborate within a scrum team in an agile development setting, gaining insight into various key agile roles.

• Engage in design and code review sessions.

• Take part in reviewing test plans and develop automated test scripts to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Previous experience as a developer on VSE, z/VM, or z/OS platforms.

• Proficient in Assembler programming.

• Knowledge and expertise in one or more VSE subsystems, including POWER and CICS.

• Experience working in mainframe VSE environments such as z/VM and VSE JCL.

• Familiarity with mainframe VSE programming languages, including Assembler and REXX, as well as VSE macros.
