RCM Specialist, Certified Professional Coder – CPC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Demonstrated expertise in medical software, insurance platforms, and EHR systems (Elation or Candid preferred)

• Confirm patient eligibility and benefits, including coordination of benefits

• Detect and address claims processing challenges, including pre-submission errors, and create appeals or reprocess claims as necessary

• Effectively communicate with patients, healthcare providers, management, staff, and third-party representatives

• Reach out to insurance payers for eligibility verification, claims resolution, and authorization requests

• Submit medical records to insurers when required

• Review and verify patient accounts for accuracy

• Uphold compliance with professional standards, company policies, and federal, state, and HIPAA regulations

• Handle a high volume of claims, calls, chats, and tasks while adhering to productivity and quality standards

• Respond promptly to all calls, chats, and voicemails during business hours

• Maintain a positive and optimistic demeanor

• Ensure the timely completion of daily responsibilities

• Perform all other assigned duties

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-2 years of prior experience in Medical Billing

• Certification as a Professional Coder or Biller (CPC / CPB) is mandatory

• Experience with Payment Posting is advantageous but not essential

• Ability to work independently and utilize personal knowledge and experience for effective problem-solving

• Proficiency in MS Word and Google Sheets or MS Excel is required

• Must possess strong attention to detail along with excellent organizational and time management skills

• Candidates should excel at delivering a high level of customer service and be capable of working in a team-oriented environment

• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail are required, along with proficient writing and verbal communication abilities and a positive professional attitude
