Medical Coder

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver medical coding assistance to designated agencies.

• Accurately assign ICD-10-CM codes.

• Evaluate OASIS and allocate correct codes that are substantiated by documentation.

• Identify relevant primary and significant secondary diagnoses and procedures.

• Follow coding compliance regulations and internal policies to guarantee precise billing for client agencies.

• Assess, interpret, and suggest corrections to the plan of care as required.

• Execute other assigned job responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.

• 1 to 2 years of pertinent work experience.

• Coding certification such as HCS-D or BCHH-C.

• Openness to work additional or irregular hours when necessary.

• Capability to adhere to relevant security policies and procedures.

• Ability to sit and focus on a computer screen for extended durations.

• OASIS experience is preferred.

• Experience in hospice care is preferred.

• For positions based in the U.S., legal authorization to work in the United States is required.
