This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.
• Submits invoices to payers promptly and accurately for the products and services rendered.
• Familiar with the terms and fee schedule for all contracts related to invoicing.
• Accurately determines quantities and pricing for billed medications.
• Confirms that services and products are properly authorized and that necessary documentation is maintained.
• Ensures that invoices are sent for services and products that have been appropriately ordered and verified as delivered.
• Reviews payments received for accuracy and applies them correctly in the system.
• Confirms that received payments align with the fee schedule.
• Appropriately allocates payments to the patient accounts.
• Guarantees that secondary billing and patient invoices are dispatched within 48 hours of payment receipt.
• Alerts the Reimbursement Manager regarding any overpayments or duplicate payments for the same service.
• Transfers payments meant for other offices within 48 hours of their receipt.
• Follows up on submitted invoices to ensure timely payment.
• Makes calls to verify receipt and processing status of submitted claims.
• Sends correspondence to the patient or responsible party if their insurance provider fails to make payment within a reasonable timeframe.
• Generates and sends out statements and collection letters.
• Conducts follow-ups on all denials within 48 hours of receipt.
• Ensures adherence to policies and guidelines specified in the contract terms and fee schedule.
• Complies with HIPAA regulations when accessing and sharing patient information to uphold patient and business confidentiality.
• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• 0 – 6 months of prior experience in Infusion Reimbursement or Intake/Admissions.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word.
