This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon, +1 more state.
• The Rare Disease Account Manager will collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to craft a dynamic business plan and execution strategy aimed at engaging key care systems, thereby creating mutual value for Otsuka, customers, and patients.
• Acquires in-depth knowledge of existing and emerging competitors, implementing sales strategies to effectively compete and meet patient acquisition and revenue targets.
• The RDAM will develop and maintain expertise in relevant disease states, patient and clinic experiences, market landscape, and product knowledge.
• Effectively leverage all available tools, technology, and resources to analyze and pinpoint market opportunities and trends.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate and uncover opportunities within the evolving healthcare landscape, including academic institutions, IDNs, community practices, and local patient advocacy groups.
• Bachelor's degree required; an MBA or other related graduate degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of sales experience in rare disease, immunology, renal, oncology, and/or as a hospital account manager is strongly preferred.
• A proven history of consistently meeting or surpassing financial and other quantitative targets, as well as qualitative objectives in a fast-paced, dynamic sales environment.
• Candidates should exhibit intellectual curiosity, business acumen, perseverance, relationship mastery, collaboration, and a passion for patient care.
• Ability to interpret, analyze, and utilize data to identify trends, gain insights, drive engagement, and lead live interactions with customers in the local business landscape.
• Demonstrates strategic thinking to formulate a customer/account engagement plan, employing a dynamic and collaborative approach to maximize business impact.
• Displays intellectual curiosity and maintains continuous awareness of trends in their area of expertise, leveraging knowledge and insights to positively influence the business.
• Collaborates respectfully to build partnerships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, incorporating diverse perspectives into the decision-making process within a complex and competitive healthcare environment (e.g., payers, health systems, matrix partners).
