Radiation Therapy Clinical Documentation Auditor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Act as a resource for Radiation Oncologists, Physicists, Dosimetrists, and Therapists concerning comprehensive and precise patient documentation and billing.

• Serve as a bridge between staff and coders to foster a mutual understanding of medical record documentation usage.

• Offer specialized knowledge regarding how documentation influences patient care, quality outcome metrics, prior authorizations, insurance denials, and appropriate reimbursement.

• Examine electronic medical records, notes, dictations, and related documents to guarantee the accurate and timely submission of charges for technical services.

• Address and resolve coding discrepancies.

• Provide continuous feedback to staff.

• Assist, as needed, with educational in-services to ensure compliance with coding requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate degree.

• ARRT Registered Technologist - Radiation Therapy.

• Certification as a Radiation Therapist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or an equivalent certification.

• American Medical Accounting and Consulting, Inc. Radiation Oncology Certified Coders Certification or an equivalent is preferred.

• Familiarity with CPT and ICD10 Coding.

• Understanding of Medical Terminology.

• Knowledge of Anatomy & Physiology.

• Proficient in charge entry systems.

• Capability to enter charges accurately.

• Knowledge of Brachytherapy, SRS, Xofigo, Theraspheres, Tomotherapy, TrueBeam, Linear Accelerators, and medical documentation requirements.

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
