This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Manages ongoing work and evaluates progress for the radar system, comprehending and developing requirements while ensuring alignment with the requirement documents.
• Assists U-A with the analysis of requirements, design evaluations, acquisition processes, prototype and production system testing, as well as developmental and operational testing, system acceptance testing, and general reviews of engineering and product documentation.
• Provides expert program management assistance, including oversight of schedules, risk identification and mitigation, and coordination among government and contractor stakeholders to guarantee the successful implementation of radar system initiatives.
• Aids in acquisition planning and documentation by creating, reviewing, and advising on requirements, technical specifications, contract deliverables, and acquisition strategies in accordance with DoD/USAF policies and guidelines.
• Monitors and verifies the traceability, performance, and compliance of radar system requirements through analyses, assessments, and technical reviews to ensure fulfillment of all program objectives and operational needs.
• Establishes requirements for tools, testing/support equipment, personnel, supplies, and technical documentation.
• Demonstrates the ability to effectively liaise with units, MAJCOMS, HAF & PMOs, fostering relationships and facilitating communication and coordination as necessary.
• Contributes to the creation of new concepts, techniques, and standards.
• Acts as a consultant to management and serves as a representative for the organization on significant matters regarding its policies, plans, and objectives.
• Provides advisory support to senior management and customers.
• Utilizes extensive technical knowledge and possesses comprehensive understanding of related disciplines.
• Capable of effectively communicating and clearly presenting technical approaches and findings.
• Develops technical solutions to intricate problems that necessitate the frequent application of ingenuity and creativity.
• Able to support and engage with cross-functional IPTs and demonstrates strong communication with stakeholders.
• 15+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 13+ years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent with 19+ years of relevant experience.
• Previous experience managing projects for the DoD.
• DoD/DAWIA Program Management Certification.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification from PMI.
• Clearance - Must have and maintain a SECRET Clearance.
