This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Developing automated protocols and pipelines for the discovery of quantum error correcting codes.
β’ Utilizing AI and automation to uncover innovative quantum error correcting codes that excel in encoding rate, error suppression, and system realizability.
β’ Integrating diverse classical machine learning techniques to identify high-performance code constructions, along with creating custom machine learning models designed for optimal code development.
β’ Establishing methods to identify high-performance error correcting codes that directly account for hardware constraints across various physical systems.
β’ Analyzing and assessing the performance of fault-tolerant circuits that implement quantum error correcting logic and memory through analytical and simulation tools.
β’ Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD in Physics, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
β’ Strong proficiency in Python and a foundational understanding of quantum computing principles, particularly superconducting qubits and circuit quantum electrodynamics (QED).
β’ Familiarity with, or the ability to quickly learn, standard quantum superconducting qubit chip design software.
β’ Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools such as Ansys HFSS, Palace, or similar solvers.
β’ Strong teamwork, communication, and documentation abilities.
