Quantum Algorithm Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Design and assess algorithmic solutions in quantum computing that could address future challenges in the insurance sector.

• Initiate classical computing solutions that generate immediate business value and lay the groundwork for subsequent quantum solutions.

• Identify pertinent insurance challenges and project the potential advantages of scaled solutions based on experimental data.

• Work collaboratively with internal teams as well as external industry and academic partners to analyze results and validate algorithmic approaches.

• Play a key role in the development and exploration of quantum computing algorithms.

• Recognize, investigate, and implement advancements in significant areas of quantum computing.

• Evaluate algorithm performance through simulations on classical systems and experiments on various quantum platforms.

• Create and execute reference solutions based on classical computing.

• Clarify the scaling characteristics of algorithms and assess their potential for quantum superiority.

• Utilize, modify, and develop algorithms to tackle selected problems.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience is preferred.

• Proven experience in algorithm development and understanding of algorithms.

• Familiarity with quantum computing and quantum hardware.

• Background in machine learning (ML).

• Experience in research settings.

• Willingness to undergo a background investigation.

• If working remotely, a dedicated private workspace free of distractions with suitable desk and seating is required.

• Reliable internet connection is essential, with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.
