Quantitative Scientist, PhD New Grad

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain fraud detection models throughout the complete model development lifecycle, encompassing data acquisition, feature engineering, training, deployment in production, and ongoing monitoring.

• Develop foundational models for Fraud and Financial Risk solutions.

• Investigate new fraud types and create identity verification products.

• Refine models and incorporate new data sources along with innovative feature engineering.

• Produce production-ready code to facilitate real-time decision-making by partners.

• Design, execute, and convey analyses that inform data acquisition, product development, risk operations, marketing, and sales strategies.

• Work collaboratively with engineering, risk operations, and data acquisition teams to obtain data, ensure data quality, and support data accessibility.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience/research.

• Solid foundation in machine learning, statistics, or applied data science.

• Proficient in Python and familiar with common data science tools gained through academic coursework, research, internships, or personal projects.

• Proven ability to analyze complex issues and develop data-driven solutions.

• Excellent communication skills with the capacity to articulate technical concepts clearly.

• Keen interest in deeply understanding fraud, identity, and financial risk systems.

• Ability to produce clean, maintainable code.

• Strong attention to detail and a curiosity regarding real-world data challenges.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Must reside in the United States.

• Capability to excel in a fast-paced environment addressing diverse, high-impact, open-ended challenges.
