Quant Researcher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kazakhstan.

📋 Description

• Create, investigate, and backtest innovative quantitative trading strategies across a range of asset classes in both low and high-frequency settings.

• Build and sustain effective alpha models, risk models, and execution algorithms.

• Examine extensive, intricate financial and market datasets to uncover predictive indicators and market inefficiencies.

• Assess DEFI protocols by reconstructing their foundational models to evaluate performance, risks, hedging strategies, and potential for portfolio incorporation.

• Work in conjunction with the technology team to guarantee smooth and efficient implementation of strategies into the live trading system.

• Oversee the performance of active strategies, perform attribution analysis, and suggest enhancements or modifications.

• Keep updated with academic research, industry developments, and emerging technologies in quantitative finance and cryptocurrency.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or Engineering.

• 1-2 years of relevant professional experience.

• Proficient programming skills in Python and familiarity with data analysis libraries (NumPy, pandas).

• Strong foundational understanding of probability, statistics, and linear algebra.

• Proven enthusiasm for financial markets and a desire to learn about automated trading and cryptocurrencies.

• Ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Excellent communication abilities, with the capacity to articulate technical concepts clearly.

• Experience with cryptocurrency markets, blockchain technology, and decentralized finance (DEFI) is a significant plus.
