Quality Improvement Coordinator, Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversees and directs assigned Special Projects pertaining to Quality Improvement initiatives

• Creates project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables

• Tracks project advancement, recognizes risks, and implements strategies for mitigation

• Conducts monthly EPSDT Provider Documentation Medical Record Reviews in alignment with DMAS requirements

• Shares review results, trends, and areas for improvement with providers

• Coordinates and implements Quality Improvement Team projects aimed at enhancing performance

• Engages in data analysis and trending to pinpoint areas for improvement across quality initiatives

• Ensures adherence to DMAS contract stipulations and CMS regulations

• Develops and sustains Quality Improvement tracking tools

• Works collaboratively with internal departments such as Care Management and Compliance

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred

• Associate’s Degree is REQUIRED or an LPN Diploma may be accepted as a substitute for the associate’s degree

• Registered Nurse (RN) License (Compact or Virginia) is preferred

• A minimum of 3 years of quality improvement experience is REQUIRED

• At least 3 years of experience with regulatory and accreditation is REQUIRED

• Nursing experience across various settings (acute, ambulatory, home health, hospice, behavioral health) is preferred

• Experience in Health Plan is preferred
