Quality Engineer, AI-Native

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, execute, and manage automated UI and end-to-end testing frameworks utilizing Playwright and TypeScript for both React and Angular applications.

• Develop automated API tests for C# / ASP.NET Core REST endpoints, ensuring validation of request contracts, response schemas, business logic, and error handling.

• Construct and maintain integration tests for service-to-service communications and application data workflows, including validation for SQL Server / Azure SQL.

• Create repeatable, isolated test data setups and teardowns to ensure dependable parallel test execution.

• Leverage AI-powered tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude to expedite the creation and generation of tests.

• Critically assess AI-generated tests for overall coverage, assertion quality, and the risk of false confidence.

• Contribute to Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and uphold automated suites as essential quality checkpoints.

• Identify, document, and monitor defects in Jira, including reproduction steps and supporting test evidence.

• Engage in sprint ceremonies, test planning, risk assessments, and the definition of acceptance criteria with the Technical Product Owner.

• Collaborate with offshore QE engineers to outline test cases, provide review feedback, and uphold shared quality standards.

• Report directly to the Manager of Quality Engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in test automation with a focus on coding test suites.

• Expertise in Playwright and TypeScript for automated UI and end-to-end testing.

• Experience in crafting automated API tests using TypeScript HTTP clients, C# / xUnit / NUnit, or similar frameworks.

• Proficient understanding of C# / .NET applications and the ability to read C# code to ascertain expected behavior.

• Familiarity with SQL Server or Azure SQL for data validation within automated testing frameworks.

• Proven experience integrating automated tests into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines as quality gates.

• Hands-on experience with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT for test scaffolding, data generation, and defect analysis.

• Comprehension of the QE role within an agentic delivery model, encompassing validation depth, assertion quality, and critical assessment of AI-generated test outputs.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

• Self-driven, collaborative, and ownership-focused, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Must possess authorization to work in the U.S.
